Not to be confused with the more compact spiral staircase, helical stairs are one of the most graceful forms in architecture with it’s flowing helix and absence of centre column. The gradual upward rotation is extremely elegant and the user is almost unaware of the change in elevation. Helical stairs are ideally suited to broad spaces such as shops, showrooms and areas of public assembly.
