From cellar to creative hotspot
HUB Den Bosch shows what smart design can do

What do you do when your office runs out of space? Simple – you look down. Literally. HUB Den Bosch already had a stylish ground-floor office, but thanks to a clever extension into the cellar, there’s now plenty of extra room for creativity.

What used to be a dusty, dark basement is now a bright and modern workspace – perfectly suited to a new generation that dares to think big in small spaces.

During the renovation – led by the HUB team itself – they discovered a thick, characterful old wall. Instead of covering it up, they chose to highlight it. The result? A raw opening leading to the compact 1m2™ stair, now a bold statement in the space.

The mix of old and new gives the place a unique charm.

At the foot of the stairs, playful graphic tiles instantly add character. The black, minimalist stair leads you smoothly back up to the office. This mix turns the space into more than just a workplace – it becomes a visual experience.

Even the details have been carefully considered: wooden furniture, warm lighting, and a playful nod to coffee and colour bring a homely vibe, while keeping the space professional. With access from both inside and outside, the cellar studio is flexible and multifunctional.
