EeStairs + Studio Milani

This staircase forms part of a design with five flights in the offices of Verstappen.com in Den Bosch. It was designed by EeStairs in collaboration with Andrea Milani for the renowned restoration contractor Nico de Bont. The key design decision was to conceal important structural components, resulting in exceptionally clean lines.

This was achieved through elegant and almost invisible steel-to-steel and glass-to-steel connections, involving elements such as glass balustrades, posts, and handrails. The refinement of the design is particularly evident in the twists of the balustrades at the landings.

Another crucial factor was the precision with which our in-house specialists fabricated and installed the staircase. This is most clearly visible in the perfectly formed corner where the treads meet the risers, and in the way the underside of the glass balustrade panels runs parallel to the line of the treads and risers. The steel elements are finished with EePaint™—a special finish that adds depth and character to the detailing without disturbing the geometry.
