EeStairs + BOXXIS Architecten

This staircase, designed by EeStairs for a private residence in Voorthuizen, is a perfect example of how simplicity can be striking. Rising from a solid plinth that seamlessly connects to the kitchen island, the stairs feel like an organic extension of the space. The goal was to create a clean, sculptural form that blends effortlessly into the home’s minimalist aesthetic while adding warmth and refinement.

A key challenge for EeStairs was ensuring a flawless, seamless finish. The steps are clad in a light-toned solid surface material with a soft, natural stone look, which required precise craftsmanship to keep the joints invisible. To enhance the floating effect, subtle LED lighting was integrated along the stair edges, demanding precise placement and concealed wiring.

This staircase is more than just a functional element—it’s a statement of craftsmanship. The smooth, matte finish and crisp detailing elevate the space, proving that technical precision and refined design can go hand in hand.
